That’s also why we made this unboxing and assembly video, to make the experience as hassle-free and comfortable as possible. From the moment the EB7 Plus is delivered, to the very first ride — and every ride thereafter.

As always, if you do not feel comfortable assembling the bike yourself, we recommend taking your new bike to your local bike shop for assembly and inspection. Give us a call if you need help finding an authorized bike shop closest to you.
If you are comfortable assembling the bike yourself, be sure to follow all instructions, properly adjust gears and brakes, and set tire pressure.
PREP FOR SUCCESS
If this was delivered to you, you’ll first want to make sure to check for carrier damage before removing the EB7 from its packaging. If you find significant damage, contact customer service immediately.
REMOVE EBIKE FROM PACKAGING
You’ll need sharp scissors to remove the packaging so be careful. Set aside the customer support card and quick start guide but keep them close by just in case.
The first thing you’ll want to do is get everything ready and within reach. This will help make the assembly process easier. The EB7 requires virtually no tools to assemble but you’ll want to make sure you have the charger and an air pump on-hand. A blanket or bike mat is always a good idea as well.
HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY
Start by unfolding the handlebar system, then fold up the latch to lock the stem in place.
Remove the top latch and clamp and set them aside, making sure to keep them assembled.
Next, set the handlebars in place and re-install the clamp. Re-insert the screw with washers and then re-install the latch. Close the latch to secure the handlebar. Make sure you don’t over-tighten the clamp.
UNFOLDING
Use the kickstand to stabilize the bike and make it easier to work with.
Unfold the rear-wheel section and straighten out the bike frame. Push the latch closed and check to ensure the latch hook end is secure.
Now, open the latch at the top of the handlebars and adjust them so they are properly positioned. Once you’ve got them adjusted, close the latch.
INSTALLING THE SEAT
Open the seat post clamp by pulling back the lever and loosening the washer, then insert the seat post into the bike frame.
Adjust the seat to desired height. The minimum insertion height is marked on the post.
Once you’ve got the seat adjusted to the right height, align the seat with the bike frame, then tighten the seat-post clamp.
Next, you’ll unfold the pedals. Flip them up so they’re at a 90-degree angle, perpendicular to the bike frame then press in toward the bike until they lock into place.
Now that the bike is put together, get on and double check the seat height. Adjust if necessary.
TIPS ON OPTIMAL SEAT HEIGHT
For better pedaling, safety and overall riding comfort, positioning the seat at the right height is important. The rider’s leg length is used to determine the seat’s position. When you pedal, your hips should remain level and your legs should be almost fully extended at the bottom of the pedal stroke, but not over-extended.
To determine the right seat height, sit on the eBike with one pedal at its lowest point and place the ball of your foot on the pedal. Your leg should be almost fully extended (not locked out) with a slight bend at the knee. Above all, you definitely don’t want to be hunched over when you ride. Since the EB7 Plus isn’t considered a “full-sized” bike, you’ll need to find the perfect height balance between the seat and the handlebar.
CHARGING THE eBIKE
Make sure the EB7 Plus is powered off before charging. Press and hold the power button on the display (located on your handlebars) to turn off the bike.
Plug your power adapter into an outlet and check to make sure it’s functioning properly. A green light indicates it’s ready to charge.
Locate the port on the right side of your bike frame, pull out the port cover, and plug the power cord into your bike. A red light on the adapter indicates that your bike is charging.
Your EB7 will reach a full charge in ~5 hours. Avoid overcharging your eBike; unplug it once it reaches full charge. Overcharging can shorten battery life and reduce capacity. The red light on the adapter will switch to green. That’s when you know it’s charged up.
REMOVING THE BATTERY
The EB7 has an easily swappable battery so you can keep an extra, fully charged battery (sold separately) on hand in case you’re running low.
To remove the battery, start by opening the latch and folding the bike frame.
Use the included key to unlock the battery. Flip down the handle on the battery. Pull to slide the battery out of the frame. When reinserting the battery, remember to lock the battery.
DISPLAY OPERATION
Once the battery has been recharged, reinserted and locked into place. Press and hold the power button on the handlebar display unit for ~2 seconds to power on the EB7 Plus.
The power button can also be yused to cycle through display features like odometer, trip odometer and stopwatch. Simply quick-pressing the power button will do this.
THE MANY FUNCTIONS OF +/-
The +/- buttons do a lot of work for the EB7 Plus. They’re multifunctional.
Quick press the +/- buttons to cycle through speed and riding modes.
Press and hold the + and – buttons at the same time to access display settings for display brightness and measurement system. Use the + and – buttons to adjust the settings. When you’re done, press and hold the + and – button again to return to the Home Screen.
Press and hold the + button by itself to turn the headlight on and off.
HOW TO RIDE
Gear shifting button and lever are located on the right handlebar.
Front and rear hand brakes are located on each handle.
The throttle is located on the right handle and is controlled by twisting.
The horn button is located right next to the throttle so you can easily alert other vehicles to your presence.
Your EB7 Plus features front and rear disk brakes and a Shimano 7 speed gear system. This gives you extra control over your riding experience, especially when dealing with hills and inclines.
AIR UP!
Before riding your EB7 Plus, inspect both tires for damage. You don’t want to inflate a damaged tire. Once you’ve confirmed they’re in good condition, inflate both tires to 40-65 PSI. On warmer days, lower the pressure by 2-3 PSI. Warm air expands and can contribute to over-inflation.

A FINAL NOTE ON MAINTENANCE
Bikes require regular maintenance. Take your bike in to your local bike shop for a tune-up at least twice yearly. Complex components (brakes, gears, electrical systems) should always be inspected, serviced and adjusted by experienced bike mechanics.
